My name is Ashley Dearing.
I am 28 years old. I am from New Jersey.
I would like to begin with this essay by saying that when my mother gave me a copy of the book from and written by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, I had no interest in reading it. I just gladly accepted it. It sat on my dresser for about two weeks. One night I woke up and something drew me to begin reading.
Once I began to read it, I could hardly put it down.
Dr. Moon's book seemed to have lightning coming from it.
Her heart seemed to be bursting with love and enthusiasm that she wanted to give to her readers.
On page 10,
'Wildflowers smile on a mountain path,'
she talked about the weather and visiting her husband's tomb and her daily preparation for the beauty and care that she gave. Even though, she says, that her actions were the same each day but the weather did not stay the same showed to me that even though we go through our daily routine and God is always the same, the attacks from Satan changes, also, our daily life situations can change from time to time and at times even disrupt what we are trying to do, which is good.
On page 279,
'God's embrace ends all tears,'
was shocking as well as very enlightening. To be at the place where real slaves were imprisoned and sold to slave owners, as they call it, 'The point of no return.' How it must have felt for her to actually be standing in the same spot where so much hurt, sadness, pain and tears had been felt had to be excruciating for her to endure. Immediately it was as though I was standing in that place. My heart almost pounding with her heart.
This instills within me that we must love our neighbor as ourselves as the Bible tells us to do. No wonder God not only said to love your neighbor as yourself, but to love your enemy too.
She truly is the mother of peace because her life shows her adoration and compassion for all human beings.
There is no one who has been given this gift from God. She is a blessing to all who will read this book
From reading her book, personally I feel like my life has been uplifted and inspired.
My heart has a better feeling towards mankind.
If she can go through her personal struggles, so can I, which after reading,
I feel lighter and encouraged to hold on to God like never before.
My Life feels richer and I feel that my spirit connects with her spirit as we both want to become closer to God and heal the heart of God.
